Oh, my precious Preciosa, I love you so.
Preciosa has long been a favorite of mine. It’s so squishy soft and the colors are just so happy. Best of all, throughout the month of June, it’s 20% off!
I’ve made multiple projects with both the fingering and the worsted weights – it’s wonderful for cuddly sweaters and hats as well as snuggly scarves. The semi solid nature of the colors lends each project a dimension twist unlike any other yarn we carry. It is simply a joy to knit with. Here are some of our favorite projects!
The Helianthus Shawl by Mone Dräger is one of my favorite projects. Knit with 3 colors of Preciosa Fingering, it is gorgeous piece filled with garter stitch and short rows – two of my favorite things! I think the time is now to knit up my own version (I’ll go with Blue Skies, Crest, and Captain) and have it too keep the air conditioned chill of our office at bay.
For the 2015 baseball season, I knit my Cracker Jack scarf in 6 different colors of Preciosa Worsted (you can read more about that here) and it was one of my favorite scarves to wear this past winter, when it was much colder out than normal.
Hannah is also a huge fan of Preciosa – she used our Knits For Everybody hat pattern to create this adorable set of hats in various sizes for her nephew as he grows…
…as well as this gorgeous sweater to keep her warm all winter. Pattern is Basic Round-Yoke Unisex Pullover by Hannah Fettig.
